His sudden passing is a shock to us all and our community is coming together to help support his family during this time of need. There are multiple tournaments in the Houston area that will be doing benefits for his family. Please follow the htowncentral Facebook page for more information on upcoming tournaments in Brent’s honor. The USAPL open 8 ball tournament this past Saturday had 21 players show up to participate. Thanks to everyone who came through! Please congratulate the Fall session open 8 ball winner: JEFF C! The remainder of the fall session is free play for him on any USAPL league nights. Runner-up was Andrew Muraw. who took home the $50 gift card.
USAPL is updating the scoring app! This is in regards to handing off scoresheets to another device. Currently, it is a simple Copy/Paste where it is a mirror copy from one device to the next. Now, you are able to select specific SETS of matches to transfer/share to a different device. This means Person A can score Sets 1 and 2, and Person B can score Sets 3 – 5. At the end of the night, Person A can send Sets 1 & 2 only to Person B to complete the scoresheet for final submission without jeopardizing/losing the other sets on Person B’s device. If any questions, please reach out. We will be testing this throughout the weeks to come.
A few reminders of upcoming dates/events:
– Sun 09/01 @ 7 PM @ Woody’s Hideaway – USAPL members meet & greet with possible 10 ball tournament
– Wed 09/04 @ 7:30 PM @ Woody’s Hideaway – Wednesday night league 1st week!

Reminder, this is the last session to qualify for the Vegas Qualifying Tournament taking place in December. The VQT determines teams going to Vegas in February 2025. To qualify to play, players need to have at least 8 matches in one session this year for each discipline. Talk to your team captain to make sure you’ve met your matches. Captains – if unsure how to check, please contact league op!
We have a league meet and greet at Woody’s on Sunday, September 1 @ 7:00 PM for those interested in playing there or a chance to meet fellow USAPL pool members. There is a possible 10 ball tournament if there is enough interest.
We are still looking for anyone interested in playing Sunday 9 ball at Woody’s. League starts at 7 PM and should not go past 9 PM. It’s a good place to watch Sunday night football, and should not last too long into the night to interfere with work the next day. Done by halftime! 🙂
We’re excited for this session to start. See you all in the upcoming week!
